Like AA, Twelve Step Apps is self supporting. Our free apps aren't free to make! The developers actually expect to be paid. That being said, we have introduced paid apps...where any profit helps fund our free recovery apps. Its not perfect but we hope that you can help us by trying and buying one of our paid apps. Remember that our primary purpose is to stay sober...and help another alcoholic!
AA Trivia Whack is the first app of its kind in the category of Recovery Entertainment. It is NOT a recovery app. Recovery is deadly serious. Recovery Entertainment is not.
The app is made for those members who have some sobriety time and who agree with Bill’s statement “we aren’t a glum lot”. The goal of the game is to have some sober fun while learning about the program that is helping to save your life. Be prepared to be totally humbled by your ignorance of the Big Book, AA History, AA Slogans, and Big Book Vocabulary! It’s similar in style to many of the trivia apps on itunes, but with one major difference….it was created by sober alcoholics for sober alcoholics and its only trivia categories deal with AA subjects. |
We hope that you have as much fun playing the game as we did making it. We infused our warped alcoholic humor throughout the game, including writing each trivia question’s “wrong answers”. We laughed a lot making some of these up, and hope that you enjoy their absurdity.
The app comes with a Starter Pack of questions, taken from the main categories of: Big Book, AA History, AA Slogans, and Big Book Vocabulary. If you find yourself enjoying the app, you can download hundreds of more questions for FREE. A portion of any profit we make from the Expansion Pack sales will be used to help fund Twelve Step Apps free recovery apps, which presently get over 1000 downloads each month from AA’s around the world. |
